a little bit about me

I chair the Database Group at Eindhoven University of Technology, where I've been on the faculty since 2009. During this time I have also held visiting faculty appointments at Birkbeck University of London, Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, 大阪大学, Université Lille 1, and Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia.

I did my graduate work at Indiana University Bloomington, where I defended a PhD in the computer science department. My undergraduate studies were completed at the University of North Florida.
